Instructor Bio:
Amy Gobroski is a teacher, a wife, mother, grandmother, and a Christian. With more than thirty years of experience teaching ASL, French, Spanish and Special Education in Christian, public, homeschool support and online schools, she has a solid understanding of the challenges many families and students face.
When Amy was in high school, she was captivated by the ASL interpreter for Deaf students in her class. She socialized with them, studied books, took classes, and completed an interpreter’s training program at the university of Arizona. Her next language was French. She majored in it in college and spent her junior year living with a French family and studying at a French university. She started Spanish shortly after and subsequently spent time in Guatemala - leading student mission trips and hosting women’s conferences. She has done both ASL and Spanish interpreting.
When she’s not working, Amy enjoys crocheting, cycling, playing guitar, flute and singing on her church’s worship team, engaging in Bible studies, and spending time with her husband, four children and eight grandchildren.
For numerous reasons, the number of parents choosing to homeschool doubled between 2020 and 2021 and with it the need for support has increased. This exciting program with video lessons, practice activities in all four areas of language, and resources combines innovative teaching methods with the Word of God in a new ministry; one that supports you in world language instruction without wokeness and teaches the value of opening up new conversations with those around the world through second language acquisition. Now more than ever is the time to support Christian homeschooling parents in their ministry to their children, so Amy has launched Go Tell the World.
